1. MVP - WWE

After helping to raise Bobby Lashley up from circus weddings to championship contender, MVP set his sights on assisting other misspent talents who had been lost in the swell of the company’s roster.

Recruiting Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander to his entourage, Porter became the leading force behind The Hurt Business, a stable that has added innumerable value to WWE’s tepid recent programming. The group are presented as debonair and credible, with promos from all four individuals feeling largely unscripted, making them stand out from the crowd.

Most importantly, MVP appears to be at peace with his career, using his knowledge and experience to elevate the younger talent he is surrounded by. Through MVP’s association, Cedric Alexander has been allowed the time and exposure to create something more than the bland babyface gimmick he was given, while Ricochet, and Apollo Crews have also benefitted from feuds with Porter, despite being dropped from booking plans shortly after. MVP’s faction even tried to redeem Retribution, the very worst example of WWE using NXT talent on their main roster. In essence, MVP is doing his absolute damned best to build wrestlers in defiance of WWE’s booking, without allowing his stable to fall to the level of their opponents.
