10 Biggest Wasted Talents On The WWE Roster In 2017
4. Howard Finkel
A curious addition to the list but, for any seasoned wrestling fan, a necessary one.
For the longest time, the unmistakable voice of Howard Finkel was the sound of WWE. His trademark calls of "Who drew number one?" at the Rumble and "It is now time for your main event" were a fundamental part of WWF PPV.
Nothing made a title change more momentous than the sound of 'The Fink' excitedly announcing to the crowd "Here is your winner... and NEWWWWWWWWW... " - a subtle addition that could make a huge difference to the overall presentation today.
Jeff Jarrett's decision to re-add David Penzer to Impact Wrestling tapings immediately made a difference to the product as a legit operation. The mild tweak to the production staff was instant proof that a small change can have noticeable effect overall.
Adding 'The Fink' to the main event picture for PPVs would be the perfect way to convey that "big match" feel. Similar to how WCW used to utilise Michael Buffer, the presence of Finkel for big matches would add another mild touch of legitimacy to the bouts and reinforce them as important. Most importantly, it would differentiate them from the standard main events of weekly television.
