10 Biggest WCW Botches Ever

4. Villano IV Suffers A Neck Injury At The Hands Of Raven And Kanyon (WCW Monday Nitro, 9/21/1998)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7oSESAJYkA WCW did many amazing things with luchadores. Nearly injuring Villano IV was certainly not one of them. This one is significant because it nearly caused the retirement of VIllano IV, who was a multiple-time trios champion with nearly 20 years of experience. As well, it's significant because insofar as WCW, it highlights just the sheer number of bodies under contract at that time that Buff Bagwell and Villano IV could both fall victim to botched maneuvers, and instead of some sort of statement regarding safety in the company being made (like WWF banning piledrivers after Steve Austin's injury), another body was merely shuttled into that spot on the card in the company.
