10 Biggest WCW Crowd Reactions Ever

10. Bret Hart Fools Goldberg

WCW Monday Nitro was swiftly heading down the toilet in 1999, and it was becoming increasingly clear that Bret Hart may not have made the best decision in jumping ship. In March of 1999, Nitro was in Toronto, Canada, and The Hitman went out to spill the beans regarding his frustration. Hart gave a recital of the Canadian national anthem, before calling out William Goldberg.

Bret laid down some fightin' talk and revealed a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey, whipping the already rabid crowd into a frenzy. Goldberg hit the ring before smashing Bret with a huge spear, one which leaves him laying. Wait, what? Leaves Goldberg laying?

Bret gets up and counts a visual three on the seemingly-KO'd Bill, before removing his Leafs shirt to reveal a steel plate strapped to his chest. The Excellence of Execution had outfoxed The Man, and the Toronto crowd roared its approval. Bret took a microphone and announced that he was quitting, but nobody ever truly quit WCW.
