There are few Superstars in today's WWE who can prove they are worthy of having an entire show built around them. Miz not only did that during his run on Raw, he backed it up at every turn, routinely partaking in the best match on many an episode of WWE's flagship. Ditto for pay-per-view.

Sunday, he challenged Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship in a barnburner of an opening match. Though he ate a curb stomp and lost the match, it is impossible to deny the growth Miz has made as a worker.

Here is a Superstar who, in 2011, was left for dead after a failed run as WWE champion. He was beaten down, survived an ill-fated babyface run and never let his lackluster position in the company hurt his desire to be the best he could.

He exploded back into the spotlight through a series of strong promos and in 2016, cut the most impassioned promo of his career. A passionate performer, he has always been an engaging verbal performer. As a worker, he has progressed to the point that he is one of the most dependable on the roster.

He has perfected an in-ring formula that routinely produces great matches and Sunday, it was on full display as he worked Rollins in a show-stealer that not only boosted his profile as a wrestler but, also, heightened the significance of the intercontinental Championship.
