10 Biggest Winners And Losers From WWE WrestleMania 33
5. Winner: Mojo Rawley
Everyone else’s loss was Mojo Rawley’s gain. His friendship with ‘The Gronk’ had been confusingly plugged across WWE’s social media feeds in the lead up to ‘Mania, and Pete Rosenberg even hinted at his interference in the Battle Royal on Bring it to the Table. But this just seemed like another tacky way to garner mainstream sports publicity, as though wrestling isn’t legitimate enough unless a Patriots player appears at ringside.
But alas, a once floundering Mojo is now in the best position he’s been in since being drafted to SmackDown LIVE, and is probably on the cusp of a singles push while his Hype Bros partner Zack Ryder is out with an injury. Rawley did look a little better than usual at ‘Mania (he’s using The Pounce, because it’s about time somebody did), but his exuberant and over-excitable personality clearly affects his ring-work at times.
Still, to win the fourth Andre Memorial trophy is a huge step up for Mojo Rawley, and it makes him one of the show’s biggest winners.
