4. Loser: Bray Wyatt

Maggot projections aside, Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton was shocking in how dull it was. It was arguably the biggest crowd-killer of the night; all of the enthusiasm and effort put into the feud seemed to dissipate as soon as the bell rang, and Orton picked up the win to end Wyatt’s tragically short first WWE Championship reign.

A win for Bray would have set SmackDown up for some interesting stories, but Orton coming out on top feels like paint-by-numbers WWE – it’s perhaps because they better understand Orton, that they feel having him as champ is the right call.

Either way, Bray (not unlike Ambrose) continues to have his momentum pulled out from under him as soon as he graduates to the main event. He gets bogged down by losing streak after losing streak, and only once he builds up fan support and intrigue from square one does he begin to lose all over again.

A loss is one thing, but a loss after such a tepid match could mean another dry spell for the 'Eater of Worlds'.
