Tully Blanchard might be one of the more surprising wrestling comeback stories of the year, a significant and some might say essential piece of the Shawn Spears jigsaw in AEW, but the fact his daughter continues to pull up trees over in Impact came as no surprise to anybody.

Even though the company is in a seemingly permanent state of financial impecunity, Impact were quick to tie 'The Diamond of Professional Wrestling' down as their highest paid earner ($20 and a Curly Wurly). It's not without good reason; Blanchard is widely regarded as one of the finest female performers out there, and would be a considerable asset to both AEW's slender women's roster and even WWE's ballooned selection.

The fact Blanchard has not turned up on Dynamite so far confirms that, unlike some of her Impact colleagues, her contract is entirely waterproof. And nor is she seeking pastures new. For now, she's quite content being the star of a tenured albeit tepid product.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
