10 Biggest Wrestlers Not Signed To WWE Or AEW

7. Marty Scurll

All Elite Wrestling, as the name logically suggests, was propagated by the web success of YouTube hit Being The Elite, a road journal/cum skit-show revolving around the exploits of the Bullet Club's eponymous Elite. Marty Scurll was a key component of that kliq, and as his Bullet Club buddies, one of the fulcrums of last September's Elite-heavy All In.

When AEW launched, the Elite's heavy involvement was implicit, and sure enough, Executive VPs Cody and co. were plastered all over the PR. But The Villain was missing from the lineup. Scurll had signed a contract extension with Ring Of Honor last August; the company were happy for him to appear at All In, but less inclined to break their agreement after AEW had effectively stabbed them in the back.

Marty's deal expires in November, after which we can almost certainly expect to see him alight on Dynamite - even if he has apparently fielded tentative overtures from WWE.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
