8. Someone Steals The AEW Title

AEW is barely 18 months old as a company and the promotion's top title has already been stolen as many times as the thing has changed hands. Chris Jericho was the unlucky sod who took his eye off the ball on 3 September 2019 when dining out at a Longhorn Steakhouse in Tallahassee, Florida.

As 'Le Champion' chowed down, his driver informed him that the belt was missing.

Cue pandemonium. Jericho, who had also accidentally grabbed the wrong bag at the airport earlier, was freaking out at the thought of telling Tony Khan that he'd lost something worth $30,000. It didn't take long for the internet to explode at such news either.

Some even played at conspiracy theories by reasoning that AEW were trying out a publicity stunt that'd get them some free mainstream press; in reality, Jericho's title was actually stolen, and he didn't learn that police had the thing until they posted pictures online posing with it.
