With the roof closed at the stadiums that hosted WrestleManias X-Seven, X8, XIX, and our first entry of 23, this was the first time WWE hosted 'Mania outdoors since IX in 1993. The combination of Arabic and Roman numerals in some of those names should be a crime.
The 24th incarnation of the Granddaddy of Them All happened at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando in front of 74,635 fans. For the first time on this list, there isn't a real figure and a disputed one because WWE didn't try to embellish the numbers*. 24th time lucky...
You'll remember this one for the surreal daylight matches that kicked off the show; those in the corners of the stadium must still curse the pillars that held up the canopy above the ring. Well, those that didn't get fireworks shot at them as the show went off the air anyway.
Leading into 'Mania, Floyd "Money" Mayweather Vs. Big Show was all over the posters. Mayweather was meant to be the face, but, much like with Logan Paul, the boys in the back were oblivious to the fact that nobody liked the celebrity competitor!
The real fans were all about Ric Flair retiring against Shawn Michaels. It was the perfect end to an amazing career; please just pretend it all ended here for the Nature Boy.
There was a Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjill match too, so that's something that happened...
At least they waited until it was dark for The Undertaker to make his entrance. His match with Edge that closed the show was worth the wait.
*WWE claimed to have beaten this record at WrestleMania 33 in the same venue. Lies!
