The return of Shane McMahon in February, after an absence of seven years, was one of the most surprising and popular appearances in recent times.

Interrupting a segment with his sister and father where fans were dreading the prospect of another Stephanie based tirade, Shane effectively came to our rescue and injected new life into a rather tame WrestleMania season. Fans were ecstatic to see a familiar face, let alone one that could represent a genuine change. Over 10 months later one can argue that unfortunately not much has actually changed, but at the time, the response to Shane O Mac's return was huge.
