10 Biggest WWE Creative Mistakes Of 2018 (So Far)

9. Not Capitalising On Daniel Bryan

It's been great having Daniel Bryan back. His TV matches always deliver, and he works like a man making up for lost time, rarely holding anything back between the ropes. But while the former General Manager has been killing it himself, the company haven't exactly given him the most compelling material.

Big Cass was a bad choice for Bryan's first major singles feud, which soon devolved into a mulch of awful "me big, you small" promos. The matches were stodgy, too. Daniel worked his backside off, but while this writer would argue that their Money In The Bank bout exceeded expectations, the general consensus is that the matches, like Cass himself, were subpar.

Bryan has now been slotted into a Team Hell No reunion. It began with a memorable angle on this week's SmackDown, but it won't be long before the ageing Kane is a millstone around his partner's neck.

WWE haven't buried Bryan (at all), but they've taken the hottest wrestler on the planet (which Bryan was after his return announcement) and turned him into a secondary player. It's a waste, but one that might be explainable if Daniel doesn't plan on renewing his contract beyond 1 September.
