10 Biggest WWE Creative Mistakes Of 2019 (So Far)

6. Baron Corbin: Universal Title Contender

ROMAN REIGNS BOO
WWE.com

Those successful at keeping WWE's inconsistent main roster product at arm's length and accepting it for what it is can glean a perverse sense of entertainment from Baron Corbin's hard-trolling antics. A glorious bell-end, he's very, very good at winding people up. Only Shane McMahon boils more p*ss on a regular basis, and watching the online meltdown every time the former 'Constable' is placed in a position of prominence is hilarious. Indeed, your writer is rather fond of Big Banter Baron and his big, sh*t-eating smirk.

Regardless, pushing him as a main eventer is an objectively terrible idea.

The man is a certified ratings anti-draw. Raw hit two all-time lower viewership numbers in December 2018 (on the 3rd and 10th of the month) with the show largely built around him. This run was so bad, WWE literally blamed him for the slump on air, and yet here he is, feuding with Universal Champion Seth Rollins.

Even if you appreciate what Corbin does subjectively, the metric prove that presenting him as a top-level performer makes no business sense. Get ready for another six months of it, then...
