Few real-world athletes have taken to pro wrestling's panto performance side better than Kurt Angle did in 1999-2000. During that rookie year, the former Olympian proved himself as one of the most diverse workers available, and he quickly embarked on a Hall Of Fame-worthy career.

Back in 2000, nobody could've guessed how it'd end.

WWE decided to use Kurt's remaining star power and last match as an excuse to try and pour some heat onto Baron Corbin. Heavy boos during the build once it became clear who Angle would be facing at WrestleMania 35 should've warned creative away from booking this one. It didn't, and Kurt lost clean as a whistle in six short minutes.

That was it, that was a career. Kurt freakin' Angle's last duty in WWE was a complete afterthought, and his send off deserved way better than being stuffed away on a bloated supercard. This will always be one of 2019's big regrets.
