10 Biggest WWE Creative Mistakes Of 2019
10. The War Raiders/Viking Experience/Viking Raiders
After years of being a tag-team powerhouse akin to The Road Warriors or Demolition on the indys, in ROH and in New Japan, War Machine signed for WWE in 2018 and hit NXT hard as the War Raiders. They had serious success again, and it was only a matter of time before Vince McMahon took notice. When he did, Hanson and Rowe instantly became the biggest team on Raw.
Only kidding. The pair debuted as 'The Viking Experience', a name that made them sound like a theme park ride.
The next week, after reportedly toying with 'The Berzerkers', WWE changed it to 'The Viking Raiders'. That stuck, but so did the giggles from fans who wondered why the company hadn't thought to settle on a name beforehand. Overnight, one of wrestling's most bad ass tags became a social media laughing stock.
They're only just starting to get over this creative hump, but barely. The duo are still working squash matches as Raw Tag Champs without a big feud in sight. It's clear that WWE don't have an earthly clue what to do with them.
