There is little doubt as to how WWE pulled off Vince McMahon's limo explosion stunt on TV. They simply cut to a pre-recorded feed just before he stepped into the limousine, the evidence for which being the various continuity errors that eagle-eyed fans have spotted in the years since.

But there are still one or two kayfabe questions that need answering. In the storyline, Vince wasn't supposed to have actually gone up in flames, but instead merely concocted the explosion as a way to trick his family and the roster in general that he might be dead.

How, though? They were right there, just a few metres away from the car, watching from the corridor of the arena, Paul London grinning like a Cheshire Cat. How on earth did he manage to slip out of the limousine without being seen?

Perhaps they could use the fact that this is obviously impossible to explain why the chairman was forced to come clean on his lie a week later. That has to be preferable to admitting the real reason.
