Certainly, they could have been poached from ECW like any other talent. Public Enemy left in late-1995 for WCW, while Raven and Stevie Richards would go over in separate deals in 1997. WCW even managed to split The Eliminators, signing away Perry Saturn while he and John Kronus were in the thick of the company's tag team scene.

Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley would stand out in ECW even more with these defections, becoming the territory's most reliable villains in terms of facilitating sheer crowd rage. So loyal were the duo to Paul Heyman that they were willing to stay in the face of a massive WWE offer in 1999, only departing when Heyman wouldn't up their wage by a minuscule amount.
