If Edge could be a WCW jobber, why not Matt and Jeff? In the mid-1990s, the brothers from North Carolina carved out a niche for themselves as TV enhancement talent in WWF, with Jeff Hardy even doing jobs at age 16 under the name Keith Davis. It's most likely that neither was a contracted WWE performer at the time, and the two were never used as anything more than preliminaries before late-1998, save for a forgettable, ill-fated run as The Jinx Brothers in 1996.

During that time, WCW probably had opportunities to call up the brothers and offer them work. The Cruiserweight division of the day was impressive enough; imagine 20-year-old Jeff or 23-year-old Matt working alongside Rey Misterio Jr or Eddie Guerrero in spryer times.
