10 Biggest WWE Upset Wins

9. Sheamus Beats John Cena For The WWE Title - TLC 2009

WWE.comWWE.comIt's rare for John Cena to lose a match clean or at least relatively clean. We've become so used to "Cena wins" over the years that any time he loses it's a shock. Most of the time when he does lose it's usually due to interference of some kind or some kind of weapons being used. When Cena faced off with Sheamus at TLC on December 13, 2009 in a Tables Match the expectation was that Cena would win. Sheamus was still pretty new on the Raw roster since he only joined Raw two months earlier. It was rare to see a new guy get pushed that hard and that fast. The feeling was he'd compete, but ultimately Cena would win. That didn't happen this time, though. After about 15 minutes of back and forth action they had a struggle on the top rope. It looked like Sheamus was going to give him a superplex through the table that was in the ring. Instead, Sheamus pushed him barely and Cena went crashing through the table. That meant that Sheamus won the match even though he fell to the floor at the same time as Cena going through the table. Cena getting pinned clean by Sheamus would have been a bigger deal as a finish, but it was still a shocking upset when Sheamus left TLC as the WWE Champion.
