The key word in WWE's own "Once In A Lifetime" branding should be obvious, and it's the one word they totally ignored in favour of presenting a rematch the very next year.

The Rock vs. John Cena at 'Mania XXVIII was originally on this list before re-watching both matches again. As a standalone effort, the first was worth it just to see Rocky back in a WWE ring. Oddly, the second was the superior wrestling match, but it never should have happened at all.

"Once In A Lifetime", remember?

It was annoying to see WWE pretend they'd never discussed Cena vs. Rock as a one-off for much of 2011-12, and seeing poor CM Punk's history-making title reign sacrificed a few months before just so a repeat could happen was depressing. For shame, WWE. For shame.
