While Flair and Macho may have displayed the best pure man-on-man feud in the history of WWF vs WCW encounters, there was only ever going to be one clash at the top of this list. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall's now-iconic WCW debut as The Outsiders played heavily on their WWF past, painting them as evil outsiders determined to trash the fans' beloved company. The storyline was really kicked into overdrive thanks to the long-awaited turn of eternal babyface Hulk Hogan, thereby creating the nWo and shifting the status quo of wrestling forever. Although never explicitly referred to as invading WWF superstars, the implications made by the WCW creative team were clear and thrilling. Although pot-shots had been taken by both companies at one another, neither had incorporated the inter-promotional rivalry in such a compelling manner before. Flair's brief time in the WWF as "the real world champion" may have played upon such feelings, but the nWo took it to the next level. They were an absolutely dominant force, running roughshod over the entire WCW roster and dominating the wrestling landscape for years. Unfortunately, as with many of WCW's ideas, the stable long outstayed its welcome, becoming engorged with numerous hangers-on and losing its originality. For a time, however, the New World Order represented one of the most fresh, exciting things to happen to ever happen to the wrestling business, and remains the single best in-ring manifestation of the WWF vs WCW rivalry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTOElx4nT6w
