10 Bizarre Wrestling Conventions We All Take For Granted

5. No Matter How Much You Hate The Other Guy, Always Pose Before A Match

Entrances are very important in pro wrestling. As we have already established, the unexpected presence of entrance music can distract even the most dedicated superstar.

Most entrances involve some sort of posing, ranging from a simple “arms raised before the crowd” to a full dance routine on the way to the ring. No matter how heated a grudge, or how important a championship match, these actions will almost always remain.

Maybe wrestlers have either a giant ego or just can’t resist the opportunity to dance. Maybe it’s mind games, showing their opponent that they will not change their routine just for them. Whatever the occasion, most wrestlers will not budge from their signature entrance.

This one is somewhat justified, however, in that in many real sports, the athletes are very superstitious, and often have a set routine they have to go through before a big game. It could be that entrances and poses are a takeoff of that, or maybe that's giving them too much credit. Regardless, have a look next time your favourite wrestler makes their entrance for a grudge match. 99 times out of 100, it will be the same entrance as every other time they hit the ring.
