10 Bizarre Wrestling Movies You Must Watch

3. El Luchador Implacable (2006)

This is a throwback to the great lucha movies of the 1970's, where legends like El Santo battled vampires and crime syndicates. This one stars Dos Caras/Alberto Del Rio/Alberto El Patrón/Yukon John Nord [citation needed] as the titular implacable wrestler. He simply cannot be placated, evildoers, don't even try.

His girlfriend was killed by a biker gang of Mexican dads, and he therefore spends the rest of the movie hunting them down one by one like he's the fargin' Crow.

Of course, an unholy spree of vengeance can't take precedence over one's grappling career, so the film generally alternates between Dos Caras, Jr. throwing ranas and Alberto running dudes down with his customized polar bear Harley-Davidson.

Every blow landed -- and there are sometimes dozens in quick succession -- has the same, uniform WHAP sound effect. A guy is shown rolling down a gentle incline, and when we cut back to him he's dead at the bottom of a sheer cliff. It sounds as if they just bought the rights to all the cliched action movie music and didn't want to feel like they wasted money.

One scene has didgeridoo music, I mean, come on now. You can't ask me to take a scene seriously when there's didgeridoos farting away in the background, but you also can't ask me to hate it.

Immortal Dialogue: "¡Culero! ¡Culero! ¡Culero!"
