10 Blockbuster Returns WWE STILL Haven't Done Yet

7. Christian

An April 2020 appearance on Booker T's Hall of Fame podcast saw Christian claim that he is effectively "medically disqualified" from ever wrestling again.

Pointing to real-life bestie Edge's comeback is a false equivalence because, as Christian points out, his injuries are "completely different." While Adam Copeland's issues relate to his neck and spine, Jason Reso's are concussions. This makes his situation far muddier, so it's harder to forecast whether or not he could ever score medical clearance again.

The problem with all of this? These are Christian's own assertions. It could well be that the man is "medically disqualified," but taking wrestlers at face value, even in retirement, is often foolish. The metaphorical pinch of salt sees him included on our list.

'Captain Charisma' quietly slipped into retirement in December 2014, with Raw announcer Jerry Lawler revealing he wouldn't return to the ring following his latest concussion. He remained under WWE contract until mid-2016, however, and is now settled into a regular contributor's role on WWE Backstage - though he's likely contracted to FOX, not WWE themselves, if his deal is anything like CM Punk's.
