10 Blockbuster Returns WWE STILL Haven't Done Yet

4. Enzo Amore

To call the circumstances leading to Enzo Amore's WWE departure "dicey" doesn't do them justice.

'The Realest Guy In The Room' was cut loose amidst sexual assault charges in January 2018, the promotion invoking their zero-tolerance stance on such matters. Two months later, the investigation was thrown out due to a lack of evidence. This is of little significance to Amore's relationship with WWE, though: the promotion let him go for failing to disclose the charges - and an acquittal can't change that.

There were other problems with Enzo too, most notably reports of huge backstage heat and being thrown off a company bus, much of which stemmed from having uninvited guests in the locker room. By all accounts, the guy was more trouble than he was worth.

But he was still one hell of an on-screen character.

As great on the stick as he was lacklustre between the ropes, Amore was, at minimum, a top-three microphone worker in WWE. Though he has worked only three matches since leaving and almost certainly rocked the applecart with his Survivor Series 2018 stunt, WWE could definitely find something for him to do.
