Most new fans of the WWE will only know Corey Graves as the cocky play-by-play commentator on most WWE programs. What they wouldn't know is his past as one of NXT’s earliest stars in the ring, before the real-life Matthew Polinsky's very promising career was cut short due to issues with concussion.

Throughout the years, Graves has expressed his deep yearning to return to the ring, with that desire only intensified by the medical clearances of fellow injury-stricken wrestlers such as Edge, Christian Cage and Bryan Danielson. This desire drove the Savior of Misbehavior to seek out similar medical attention to those mentioned, and, to the fanfare of many, it was announced earlier this year that Graves had indeed been officially cleared to resume wrestling.

Although, the man himself admits there are no immediate plans to resume his in-ring career, at least now the possibility is there. There’s only a matter of time before something piques Graves' interest enough that he jumps back into the squared circle. Who knows if the return will be a full-time gig, or simply a few one-off matches?

Either way, mixed tag matches with wife Carmella would probably be on the cards against fellow husband and wife duo Miz and Maryse. Throw in a match with fellow commentator Pat McAfee, and all of Graves’ potential ring rust would be gone and he’d be ready to attack an in-ring return full on.
