10 Bold WWE Predictions For 2024
6. Drew McIntyre Is All Elite
As with Ricky Starks’ purported dissatisfaction with his treatment in AEW, Drew McIntyre has allegedly had similar discontentment with his creative direction in WWE. It has been suggested that the ‘Scottish Psychopath’ has been unhappy with the way that his character has been handled over the past few years, and it is being rumoured that there is still no contract extension agreement between the two parties, with McIntyre’s deal due to end shortly after WrestleMania 40.
As AEW has risen in prominence over the past five years, there have been several stories of talent being given more creative control over their characters, and this is something that would surely appeal to the two-time WWE Champion. Following in the footsteps of Jon Moxley, Malakai Black and Bryan Danielson, McIntyre could show up on AEW television in the summer, with a spring in his step and creative control in his hands.
With AEW returning to British shores for the second All In at Wembley stadium, fans could see the Scotsman appear ahead of schedule to set up a blockbuster match at the event, or he could show up as a surprise after a few months of speculation. Either way, it seems highly possible that McIntyre will show up on AEW TV before the end of the year.
