10 Bold WWE Predictions For 2024
5. Cody Rhodes Is WWE Champion
It’s fair to say that Cody Rhodes has had a pretty stellar time of things since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38.
His iconic feuds with Seth Rollins & Brock Lesnar, a Royal Rumble win and a WrestleMania main event are highlights of an exceptional two years for the ‘American Nightmare’. However, there is a large majority of the WWE Universe that would argue there is one blemish on his record: failing to capture the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
One of the most captivating storylines in the company's history seemed all but guaranteed to reach its emotional climax at the ‘Show of Shows’, when WWE subverted expectations and had the Bloodline overpower Rhodes and help the ‘Tribal Chief’ retain. Rhodes has since been on a mission to finish his story, and seems the favourite to take on Reigns again at this year’s ‘Showcase of the Immortals’.
It would be foolish of WWE to try and slow the momentum of Cody Rhodes, with the second-generation superstar being more popular than ever before. Therefore, it seems a safe bet to predict that the final image of WrestleMania 40 will be Cody Rhodes holding the WWE Championship aloft.
