2. London Is Announced As A Future WrestleMania Location
WWE hosted their Money in the Bank PLE in London in 2023, and the U.K. crowd were treated to one of the best shows of the year. This was, in large part, down to the crowd itself, with the WWE Universe in attendance creating an electrifying atmosphere for those watching at home. Notably, a surprise appearance from John Cena kept the excitement levels high, as did what he had to say.
Cena celebrated the energy that the fans in attendance had brought to the event, and thanked them for playing their part throughout the show. He then went on to suggest that WrestleMania should one day be hosted in London, and the crowd went crazy.
Since then, there has been no further development on this front. However, following the success of WWE’s overseas shows, as well as AEW’s sales record for both of their Wembley-based All In shows so far, it would be nonsensical of WWE to never revisit the topic. It would be fantastic to see an announcement on this in 2024, although the WrestleMania in question will not be any earlier than WrestleMania 42 in 2026. WWE’s fans in the U.K. would not mind the wait, however, and ticket sales for the ‘Show of Shows’ in London would undoubtedly break records, especially if WWE chose to run the two-day event at Wembley Stadium.
