10 Booking Steps For WWE Queen Of The Ring
4. Create At Least Two New Top-Tier Stars
WWE desperately needs new stars to develop for their women's divisions to maintain existence.
You need only take a glimpse at SmackDown's offering to comprehend this. The blue brand in general has been hampered with injuries and releases over the past few months. New additions in Naomi, Toni Storm, (Tegan) Nox, and Shotzi (Blackheart) are yet to make a major impact, whereas Bayley and Natalya - the latter being half of the Women's Tag Team Champions - are currently out on the injured shelf.
This leaves just six names unaccounted for, seven if you include Sonya Deville. The recent return of Sasha Banks will help the brand through to SummerSlam as she'll inevitably have another banger vs. Bianca Belair, but WWE needs to stop relying on the Four Horsewomen to push their women's divisions.
On Raw, the problem also exists. Aside from Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Nikki A.S.H - the current title feud - there aren't really any other top-tier names on the brand. At a push, Asuka, Nia Jax, and Shayna Baszler could be, but the booking is preventing them from getting far.
Post-Queen Of The Ring, this shouldn't be the case. Someone like Zelina Vega could benefit immensely from this, provided she's included, of course. The real-life Thea Trinidad likely isn't being penned to win the thing, but coming away from it, she could be positioned as a major star in the 'E.
