10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (Jan 25)

4. Kalisto Defeats Kevin Owens

It's vital that WWE's creative team keep plugging away with the likes of Kalisto. Rey Mysterio was an extra-ordinary talent that connected with fans, but would never have become as huge a star as he was if management just gave up on him. Therefore, it's imperative that they don't pull the rug out from under Kalisto, because he's someone fans enjoy watching. That said, it's also important not to force the issue, because wrestling fans nowadays like to decide who makes it to the top. Kevin Owens would be coming out of a 'Last Man Standing' Match against Dean Ambrose at the Royal Rumble, so he could be the Intercontinental Champion by the time this match airs. Whatever happens at the Rumble, it doesn't mean Ambrose vs. Owens shouldn't continue. Say Owens were to win, it's likely he'd do so in brutal fashion. If he lost, the shoe would simply be on the other foot, Ambrose is a babyface who can get away with being hardcore. On Raw, it'd be cool to see Kalisto given another win, all because Dean interfered and cost Owens the bout.
