4. Rusev Uses Lana To Beat Zack Ryder Cheaply

A quick fire win over Sheamus was followed up by a fine promo from Zack Ryder on SmackDown. Looking to keep his momentum going, Ryder put out a challenge to Rusev for the WWE United States Title. Later on the same show, the Bulgarian accepted and called for Zack to meet him on Monday Night Raw.

It just wouldn't make sense to take the United States belt from Rusev right now, as he's building up some steam of his own. There's a simple way to keep the title on him but also parlay into a rematch at Battleground between both men.

Lana hasn't really been involved too much in Rusev's victories as of late, but that could be about to change. If she sneakily stopped Ryder from getting back inside the ring, causing him to get counted out by the referee, Lana would look more relevant and useful again.

Such a cheap way of losing would give Ryder the motivation to send out another challenge for the upcoming pay-per-view, perhaps even calling for the 'Ravishing Russian' to be banned from ringside.
