2. Jack Swagger Challenges Del Rio To 'Chairs Match'
There's been a lot of discontent amongst wrestling fans over the alliance between Alberto Del Rio and Zeb Colter. The whole 'Mex-America' storyline does feel a little forced, but it also gives Jack Swagger more purpose than he's had for a good while. Currently, it seems WWE are trying to position him as an American hero of sorts, standing up for the United States Title against a foreign menace. Clearly, angles such as this will always feel outdated in 2015, but at least Swagger has one. On Monday Night Raw, he confronted Del Rio, who waved the US Title in his face in a cocky fashion. Notably, the Mexican backed down from his foe, something which continued on Smackdown. Swagger and Alberto faced off in a match, but it ended by disqualification when Del Rio used a chair. After the decision, Swagger started swinging the object around himself. This suggests that WWE may book the pair in a 'Chair's Match' at the TLC Pay-Per-View. Already, Roman Reigns will face Sheamus in a TLC bout. There's also the prospect of a Ladder Match for the Tag-Team belts. That leaves a Tables Match and a Chairs Match open. It makes sense for The Dudley Boys to cover the tables - depending on where they fit into the show - so Swagger vs. Del Rio could be a battle of steel chairs.
