10 Boring WWE Feuds That Dragged On WAY Too Long

7. Bray Wyatt Vs. Braun Strowman

It’s safe to say that Braun Strowman isn’t as hot as he was in 2017. Strowman was one of the hottest acts in the company when he fought Brock Lesnar at No Mercy. 2020 saw Braun finally capture a world title by beating Goldberg for the Universal title at WrestleMania. This led to strange feuds with a few mid-carders until he finally entered a programme with The Fiend.

The feud started off well enough with a nice match between the two at Money In The Bank which saw the two have a fairly goofy yet entertaining bout. However, the rivalry suddenly diverged into a very campy affair. First was the Swamp Fight which ended with Braun seemingly being drowned.

A mix of Alexa Bliss shenanigans and some bizarre promo packages from Strowman led to their SummerSlam encounter. Looking back on the feud, there is no reason that it should have lasted as long as it did. The foundations for a great story were there but it all got lost along the way.

A story based around the past of both characters would have reached a conclusive end with just the one match. However, the feud was artificially extended which made the stakes a lot lower. Simply put, a great story was lost in the endlessly repetitive pay-per-view cycle.
