Ken 'Kenny Dykstra' Doane was released from his WWE contract in 2008.

In 2012, he disclosed in an infamous series of tweets what he believed the reasons were. His cuckolding at the hands of John Cena - the megastar had no-sold Dysktra's relationship with Mickie James to begin an affair - led to his being transferred to and languishing on SmackDown. This derailed his WWE career, ultimately leading to his exit from the company.

WWE were naturally unhappy that Doane had decided to go public with these alleged goings-on. Cena is a kid-friendly white bread babyface. This blow to his reputation could have been very damaging for WWE, who as CM Punk later confirmed was essentially their only priority at that point. Dykstra reportedly ran into Cena at a WWE show after his release, who ignored his attempts at a reconciliation.

This was understandable. Dykstra, in waiting as long as he did to unearth these revelations, had tried to regain relevance at his expense.

While WWE.com did profile Dykstra in a Where Are They Now? article late last year, it's not as if he has the currency to engineer a proper comeback.
