Perhaps the biggest, yet underestimated, event this year has to be Daniel Bryan returning to in-ring competition at WrestleMania and resuming a full schedule. Bryan was undoubtedly the most popular wrestler on the roster in 2013-15, and his early retirement was a huge blow to fans.

With Bryan back, you have to believe that he’s destined for a top spot on the card, if not the WWE Championship, at some point in the near future. But Sunday, he has his first singles PPV match against Big Cass, who just returned from injury to attack Bryan.

It’s clear that WWE has designs on Cass as a major player with the company, and that’s what makes this writer nervous. Is WWE setting us up for a disappointment, with Cass raining on Bryan’s parade and defeating him at Backlash? It wouldn’t be the first time the company trolled fans ridiculously hard (to their own detriment) and pushed someone other than who the fans actually want.

Or maybe we’ll actually see the D-Bry train get rolling Sunday night and the Yes Movement gain some steam.
