10 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (Aug 8)
1. Can Balor Maintain His Momentum?
Two weeks into his Raw run, and Finn Balor already has been
vaulted to the top of the card. He clearly is being treated as a major star,
and even Seth Rollins’ verbal attacks last week were peppered with respect for
Balor’s accomplishments so far. And that’s a good thing: Because despite his
successes in NXT, Finn is still a relatively unproven commodity in WWE, and he’ll
need all the help he can get to really establish himself on the main roster.
So far, all Balor has done is win a big fatal four-way match and then defeat Roman Reigns in his first night on Raw, and then stand toe-to-toe with Rollins last week to set the stage for their SummerSlam bout for the newly created WWE Universal Championship. That’s a pretty impressive two weeks.
But still, he needs this hot, fast start, and you’ve got to imagine it’ll continue for the former NXT Champion. So how will Finn maintain his momentum? Will he get the upper hand on Rollins again? Could he defeat a high-level star? Regardless of what happens, Balor clearly is being set up for big things, so expect him to factor strongly into Raw Monday night.
