10 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (Aug 8)

6. How Battered Is New Day?

Finn Balor WWE Raw Debut

Last week, New Day managed to defeat top Tag Team Championship contenders Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in less than two minutes, raising serious eyebrows. Why would the top challengers get defeated cleanly so quickly?

Then Gallows and Anderson proceeded to destroy their opponents in a post-match beatdown that left Big E incapable of walking to the back under his own power. So does that mean they “got their heat back,” so to speak? Well, it all depends.

If Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods dance down to ringside like nothing happened last week, then there really was no point to beating after the match. If they come down to the ring looking worse for wear, maybe with E limping from his posting, then you might be onto something.

Not everything that happens one week needs to carry over to the next so dramatically, but if you’re going to have Gallows and Anderson lose, then beat Big E so badly that he needs help backstage, shouldn’t there be some after-effects?
