10 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (Oct 3)

1. Will WWE Do Anything Desperate?

When ratings plummet, we often will see WWE do something to shake things up. Last year, Vince McMahon made a surprise appearance on Raw for the first time in many months. Roman Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the same episode of Raw to spark interest as well, and then would defend it on Raw a few weeks later.

The point is, there’s a very real chance that we could see WWE react strongly to the poorest Raw viewership in decades, after weeks of declining ratings. We know there’s a Raw Women’s Championship match on the card, so perhaps a title switch could be in the works. There’s always a possibility that Kevin Owens could be forced to defend his WWE Universal Championship, especially if WWE brass is convinced that his reign as champ is a reason for the poor ratings (the champ often gets blamed for not drawing, so it’s possible). Or maybe Triple H finally returns to Raw to explain why he helped KO win the title in the first place.

There are plenty of crazy options out there for WWE to explore if they’re looking to shock the system on Monday night. It’s entirely possible though that they do nothing like that and just try to put on a solid episode of Raw and try to hook viewers the old-fashioned way. In some ways, seeing how WWE responds to the poor ratings is an interesting storyline unto itself.

But let’s all hope for an entertaining episode that helps Raw get back on track.
