This rumor is one that always floats just beneath the surface. Ever since WrestleMania XXXI, signs have pointed toward a Rock/Triple H match of some sort at Mania next year. If that is going to come to fruition, then it would make sense to start sowing the seeds, and SummerSlam in Brooklyn (a venue where Rock has made a surprise appearance before) could be the place. An unannounced Rock return is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it helps with the anything can happen motif WWE loves to toss out about live shows, and it could encourage people to subscribe to the WWE Network to catch the replay and see whats in store for next month. On the other hand, wouldnt an announced appearance by the Rock generate more subscriptions? What will Rocky do at SummerSlam? I better sign up so I dont miss it! Not announcing an appearance would seem like a waste in this scenario. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S3rXojCzi4 Regardless, those of us who already have the Network and were planning to tune in will just have to watch and enjoy if The Great One shows up. And if he does, itll be interesting to see how he mixes it up.
