10 Candidates For WWE's Upcoming Women's Tournament
7. Santana Garrett
Though the women's independent scene is an ever-changing place, Santana Garrett has been riding high in it for half a decade. Her reputation as a great performer is common knowledge, and the tryout matches she's received in NXT show that she's on the company's radar.
Garrett's most high-profile work thus far has come in TNA, where she competed under the name Brittany. She debuted in the company in 2013 as Madison Rayne's number-one fan, helping the then-Knockouts' Champion in her feud with The Beautiful People. Eventually, in a storyline lifted from WWE, Brittany's admiration of Rayne turned sexual, and the rebuffed fan turned heel, attacking her idol. Rayne won, and Brittany soon left TNA.
Since leaving TNA, Garrett's success has continued. She held the NWA World Women's Championship in 2015, and won the Wonder of Stardom Championship later that year. Whether she heads to WWE or not, she'll keep winning titles and acclaim, but a spot in the Women's Classic would be in WWE's best interests.
