10 Candidates For WWE's Upcoming Women's Tournament
5. Saraya Knight
Also known as Sweet Saraya, Saraya Knight is a veteran of the the UK independent scene. Debuting in 1993, she spent years working for groups like All Star Wrestling and World Association of Wrestling, the latter of which is owned and operated by her husband, Ricky Knight.
In 2011, Saraya made her debut for Shimmer Women Athletes, teaming with her daughter, Britani Knight. After losing several matches, Britani turned on Saraya, leading to a no disqualification match between the two. While Britani won that bout, Saraya would soon go on to defeat Cheerleader Melissa for the Shimmer Championship, holding it for over a year.
Saraya's participation in the Women's Classic would come with a built-in story - her daughter - the aforementioned Britani - currently competes for WWE as Paige. The idea of a mother fighting for the opportunity to be on the same worldwide brand as her child sounds like a great storyline, and while Saraya likely isn't interested in competing for WWE full-time, her presence for the tournament could be quite dramatic.
