10 Candidates For WWE's Bizarre Post-WrestleMania 38 Push
1. Madcap Moss
Madcap Moss is already getting the big push, which is fairly bizarre. His role involves cracking terrible jokes and laughing maniacally under the notion that they are actually funny.
Then again, how is this different to literally any other main event babyface in the post-Rock era?
Seth Rollins did cringeworthy stand-up when he was the top guy in 2019. Remember his programme with Brock Lesnar? "He's a real Godzilla-looking bastard, if you ask me," he said of Brock in what was a line penned by a writer scrambling on the floor looking for the drafts that Brian Gewirtz deemed too hacky. Drew McIntyre fared slightly better in the gregarious master of ceremonies role, but this fizzled to sh*t when he started basing his promo game on the enduring CBBC staple Horrible Histories. John Cena cut excruciating promos in which he compared PPV main events to Star Wars, Randy Orton did "bits" comparing Triple H to a caveman. Hell, even Brock Lesnar is wacky in the top babyface role.
it is simply the fate of a WWE main roster headliner, and Madcap Moss is doing a speed run of a World title push.
