10 Celebrities That Had The Most Influence In WWE History

1. Mike Tyson

We can all have our opinions, and this is mine---Mike Tyson is responsible for the biggest boom in the history of sports-entertainment€”The Attitude Era. I believe that with all my heart and soul. In the five years that I had the privilege of working under Vince McMahon I can say this with the bravado of an entire army€”signing Mike Tyson to be the guest enforcer at WrestleMania XIV, was far and away the best decision that the boss made in regards to his company---in perhaps the history of the WWE. Vince had the insight to understand that the general public wanted to see Mike Tyson after he was suspended from boxing for biting off the ear of Evander Holyfield. Vince knew that the pay-per-view industry was hurting without the draw of Mike Tyson, and even though he couldn€™t appear in a BOXING ring, he could in a WRESTLING one! This opened up the door for fans OUTSIDE of wrestling to sample our product THROUGH Mike Tyson. Once that audience was exposed to the WWE, the ratings skyrocketed with the very next RAW, and we never turned back from there!
