10 Celebrities That Had The Most Influence In WWE History

5. Cyndi Lauper

Cyndi Lauper had more impact on the World Wrestling Federation than any other female that has ever been associated with it---HANDS DOWN. At that time back in 1985, this relationship€”put together by Cyndi€™s manager and boyfriend at the time, David Wolfe, who was a HUGE wrestling fan€”was a match made in heaven between the two brands. During the buildup of the historical first WrestleMania event, Lauper was a star on the rise with her debut album, She€™s So Unusual, and the World Wrestling Federation was looking to become €œcool and hip€ with the MTV crowd at the time. The combination of €œRowdy€ Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan and Cyndi Lauper achieved that. If you€™re old enough to recall back then, the WWF was even showcasing their product on the up and coming station during PRIME TIME hours---that would be unheard of today! By the time all the promotion was done, with the help of Lauper ,who served as the manager of challenger Wendi Richter, who was scheduled to take on the Fabulous Moolah for the WWF Women€™s Title, WrestleMania was a HUGE success; and the crazy, zany and exuberant singer had much to do with it!
