10 Challengers For NXT Championship After TakeOver: Chicago

Aleister Black has a strong following from his work outside WWE. He also has an electric in-ring style and, perhaps most importantly for WWE officials, a look and ring entrance that sets him apart from the pack. Sound like anyone we've seen recently? Perhaps former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura?

Shinsuke's path to the NXT Championship was plain for all to see. He debuted to great fanfare, before slowly working his way through former champions and contenders on his ascent up the developmental ladder. I can see a similar trajectory for 'The Anti-Hero'. While there aren't any former champions for him to cut his teeth against, expect Black to battle Itami and the like in his quest for the NXT Championship.

NXT management could pull the trigger on Black sooner than we think. Roode has no obvious next challenger, therefore they can decide to pair him with Black immediately, or let him settle on the roster with undercard feuds. Eventually though, Black will find himself challenging for the NXT Championship.
