While CM Punk's brief feud with Team Taz gave us "send Hook" and a really good match with Powerhouse Hobbs at Rampage Grand Slam, Punk and Ricky Starks never crossed paths.

Ricky Starks is clearly a star in the making. He looks like a star. He walks, talks and wrestles like a star. His entrance on the 13 April episode of Dynamite in his hometown of New Orleans is the biggest example of that to date. Stepping up to challenge Punk would show everyone that AEW sees him that way too.

The first thing everyone thinks about when a potential opponent for Punk is thrown out there is the promos, and Starks would step up to the plate and knock it out of the park. Starks' promos during the feud between Team Taz and Swerve Strickland & Keith Lee are nothing short of masterful, and Starks can back it up in the ring.

As previously mentioned, Punk has been keen on working with younger stars to elevate their position in AEW, and Ricky Starks is one of the best of a strong group of young talent in AEW. The man who calls himself 'Absolute' is a must for a title program.
