10 Challengers Who Should Face CM Punk For The AEW World Championship
6. Miro
Miro had one of the best TNT Championship runs in the title's history so far, one that is fondly remembered by fans. Now The Redeemer is back in AEW, and gold is on his mind.
Miro wrestled an excellent match with Bryan Danielson at Full Gear 2021 in the final of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament, his last match before taking time off to heal injuries. He's now in the All Atlantic Championship match at Forbidden Door, but it won't be long before he sets his sights on the top title in the company.
Miro has long been seen by fans as a talent worth of the main event scene. His character work is outstanding, going from leading chants of "Rusev Day", to being Kip Sabian's Best Man, to God's Favourite Champion, all while maintaining his credibility as a destroyer. Positioning Miro as a credible threat to Punk's title can finally give him a true chance at the top of the card. It's easy to say that certain wrestlers shouldn't lose repeatedly, but Miro's time will come. And should he lose to Punk, he can curse his god for failing him once more, and set off on the path to redeem more souls in AEW.
