One of the smartest things Vince McMahon did on his road to world domination was that he didnt just put people out of business, he devoured his competition. As territories folded, Vince McMahon was there to pick the bones clean and add to his growing media library. Over the past thirty years, Vince has been accumulating footage and now in one of the most impressive long-games in business history, he has the platform to distribute all of it. Currently on the WWE Network, along with their own content they have footage from WCW, ECW and WCCW, but that barely scratches the surface of their media library. They also own the entire tape libraries of Georgia Championship Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling and everything under the Jim Crockett Promotions, which eventually became WCW. Even that isnt everything. They have footage of all of their stars back when they were still finding their footage. Ohio Valley Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling were big developmental territories and have early matches from John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose and Daniel Bryan. One of the most requested additions is that of Verne Gagnes American Wrestling Association, which was where pretty much everyone from the classic Rock n Wrestling era started out. From Hulk Hogan, to Ted DiBiase, to even Mean Gene and Bobby Heenan. The AWA was everyone found their feet and theirs hours and hours of footage just waiting to go online.
